Autumn winds are picking up, blowing us across the ocean to play some shows throughout Europe these coming weeks. It's been quite a while since we've visited Italy and parts of Spain, and we're excited to be playing our first shows in Prague, Vienna, and other areas of Eastern Europe. Dates and venues are over on the LIVE page. Hope to see you there!

We will have new 12" singles for sale with us, which will be available in stores through Bella Union near the end of November. The pressing is limited to 500 copies and includes a radio mix of "More Of This", a remix (and instrumental) done by Neighbors, and a new song entitled "Slippery".

Thanks to those who came out and caught one of the few shows on this recent Emerald Triangle tour Farmer Dave, Johnathan Rice, Jonathan Wilson, Neal Casal, Colin Laroque and myself cooked up. A true delight to travel up north with those guys, visit friends and play in spots we'd never been to. Thanks to Colin for shining a light on (and in) Bruno, and to everyone for pulling together and making it happen.

More to come,

Andy

Just saw your tour plan and was amazed... I reckon its more than 12'000 km in 26 days... Respect!!! To put the distance in perspective, it's like driving from Orlando to L.A. to Seattle to N.Y. and back to Orlando in a month

Joey | 11/15/09 @ 02:14 PM

I wish u guys would play Ireland again, maybe sometime when you have less of a busy tour lined up, to take the time to see the Irish countryside, and play for people who love vetiver

Matt | 11/21/09 @ 07:40 PM

You guys work hard. Keep up the good work.

german | 11/23/09 @ 08:20 AM

Andy, et al:

Thank you again for leaving behind some goodness in our world in Arlington, VA......

Brilliant show, per usual and a cool way to spend a Monday night.......and I have dedicated the entire month of January to Bobby Charles, so thanks also for the "Must Be in a Good Place Now".... it was my humble suggestion....and you ever-so-kindly obliged.

(probably on the set list already, but still)

AND whatever the indie hipsters try and say, COVERING "Don't Ease ME IN" is genius and you guys are perfect for that song...

each time I see you all play I am reminded of why I miss S.F.so much.
5 years is too long.

A toast to Vetiver...and the El Rio...and Mr. Charles. He's is a good place now, I'm quite sure of it.

panch | 01/25/10 @ 12:09 AM

I'd like to thank Loudon Wainwright III for bringing your music to me. As an old fart, I was thinking of Kate McGarrigle just passing away which led to The McGarrigle sisters, which led to Loudon...which led to The Swimming Song which led to you and more of your music. You got the spirit of that song. Thanks, and thanks for your other stuff. I'll watch you folks and try and buy your music whenever I can. Great job at Green Man. Good luck.

Agustin Armesto | 01/28/10 @ 07:32 AM

Hola Andy!!

Shelby | 01/29/10 @ 11:47 AM

I wish I could find your lyrics :/

David | 02/10/10 @ 12:35 PM

Jeez Andy (& Co),

It always seems you're after my own heart. Just heard "Slippery" for the first time on this new 12" of yours and after about 5 straight listens I felt compelled to articulate a "thank-you" via the interweb! Fancy that - and here I am. Hopefully one day you'll come to the foothills of the Canadian Rockies &/or the sunny Calgary area and play a show so I can thank you more meaningfully in person. Until then, I guess this will have to do.
Thanks so much & take care,
David

Listening to the first Vetiver lp right now, excellent production, lyrics, music, beautiful album. Saw the band in Dublin Ireland a couple of years ago, great live band. Went out and bought the records straight away, these guys should be superstars. Keep up the good work....

Eduado Salas | 03/06/10 @ 07:08 PM

Hey!!
Hello friends
I congratulate you for an excellent musical proposal.
come to monterrey, mexico soon!

Claudia | 03/09/10 @ 09:00 PM

Please, play 'I know no pardon' tomorrow in Chicago.

| 03/25/10 @ 10:28 AM

Not long ago, I bought 'Thing of the Past' on a lark - I liked the cover photo. I don't often do that - buy a record with no clue as to what's in the grooves (admittedly, I'm a recluse; I had never even heard of Vetiver!) but something drew me to this CD, a feeling that I should not leave the record shop without it. There is something universally transcendent about that occurrence - and, I'm grateful for the cosmic vibes that reached me on that day....one of the very best records I have ever heard.

Long may you run.

Right on the marker set down from above the stage could lapse another moment in a paradise, Voice and reason to accept invitations all tight inside and improvise...love letter could reach us all if we take the time writing instinct taking out hesitation.
