Summer is heating up, and it looks like it's time for Vetiver to hop back in the van and play a few scattered shows and festivals around the world. At the end of July, we'll be doing a short tour out to Portland to perform at the Pickathon festival at Pendarvis Farm. Judging from what I've heard and seen, this should be really special, and we're thrilled to be invited to attend. Along the way, we'll be stopping through some cities we hardly ever play...cities like Boise, Denver, Salt Lake City, and...Bend, Oregon! So please come out and see us if you happen to be in the vicinity.

A short week or so after this west coast adventure, we'll be hopping on a plane and tearing across Europe with our friends Beach House, culminating in a show at the Green Man festival, always a favorite of ours. Stops in other countries we don't get around to very often include Norway, Sweden, and Germany. We'll be scooting around the UK a bit more in the weeks to follow, attending the End of the Road Festival, as well as Bestival on the Isle of Wight. Hope to see you there!

We'd also like to send out congratulations to our friend Lauren Dukoff, who's new book of photography, Family has just recently been published. It's a lovely work, filled with many of our compadres from over the years. Nice job Lo! Pick up a copy at a store near you!

Hola Vetiver,

It was a real treat seeing you once again at the Green Man...a bit too short though, we were left wanting more...

Come to London soon, we'd love to see you playing at one of those lovely places such as Cecil Sharp House. Hope those guys at Miles of Smiles bring you soon.

Vetiver
Thank you for a special evening at the Bluebird Theater in Denver, CO. An intimate setting with one of our favorite bands. What more could we ask for. Thank you for making it a memorable summer!

When are you all going to come to the east coast, maybe the star city of Roanoke, Virginia? You guys have a great sound for the mountains of southwest Virginia.

ANDY...

I'm an old bandmate of yours from high school, not sure if you remember me. I played keyboards when we called ourselves "The Tremons." Actually ran into you later in life in Richmond when you came to see Pete Grothey who played bass with us. You were in school and playing with the Raymond Brake at the time. Anyhow was talking to John Rodes via facebook yesterday and your name came up through a menagerie of old times. He mentioned Vetiver, and I really have to hand it to you. You have completely reinvented yourself from one extreme to another. Have been goin through your stuff the last day or so and really enjoying it. Know your a busy man hit me an email some time and let me know if you see yourself comin out to VA anytime soon.

Saw your show in Rochester at the Lovin' Cup recently and really enjoyed it. Would like to hear more of Sarah's voice. How about mixing it up and giving her the mic once in awhile. It would add some diversity and more dimension to your performances. She has a unique and interesting quality to her voice, as you do, so how about giving her a chance at sharing it?
