WHERE DOES THE TIME GO?

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER

Hello and Welcome!
Archived June 18, 2006

hello and welcome to this, our new website. much thanks and love go out to Karen and Brent and Scott for creating and sustaining the first one. over time, we realized we needed something that was a little easier to change and add to ourselves, and hopefully this weblog approach will help do the trick. big hugs and high fives to Jona for making it happen, amidst a million crazy things happening around him all the time. and please bear with us for a while as we try and make heads and tails out of all this newfangledness. if you have any suggestions, please share 'em.

at the moment, everyone in Vetiver is just winding down and getting ready to head out again in a few weeks for a tour of some of the states. it's been a while since we've played some of these places, many of which we've never been to before, so...we look forward to it. more to come....

That's a pretty picture and this is a great new website. PLEASE come back to England soon! I've seen you guys play in Manchester (with Currituck Co and Micah P) and in London (with Hush the Many) and both times you were fantastic! Be sure that I am spreading the vetiver word!

"To Find Me Gone" is a stunningly beautiful album...got hold of it a week ago and haven't stopped playing it since. GREAT stuff!!

Hey are you guys going to make to Denver ?

ANDY | 06/21/06 @ 11:33 AM

hey j...unfortunately not this time around. with all of us scattered
across the country, routing tours has been challenging. but perhaps later this year we can figure something out.

Janna | 06/21/06 @ 04:44 PM

I am in absolute shock that you guys are coming to Charlotte. THANK YOU! no one ever comes here.

ashely | 06/21/06 @ 05:55 PM

i go to devendra shows to see andy everytime now.
(except for the very first time it was to see both)

Ashely | 06/21/06 @ 07:28 PM

Andy C, are you shy? or just don't really enjoy or feel comfortable talking to people at shows or..
one time i froze and i couldnt say anything to you and you, really aquardly, eyes darting, voice trembling say... "hiii??? how are youuuUU???" and then walked away immediately. god thats so funny and wonderfully tense.
then, the other day at bonnaboooo, i was up front, and afterward devendra banhart lowered himself with his arms out grabbing papers and pens, and you hasted off stage...then i sucked my teeth and went over to cat power. sorry, the point is...how do you like handling fans?

Wil | 06/22/06 @ 10:33 AM

What a great album guys, really. To sound ridiculous, I really do look forward to getting home to listen to it.

Also, come by schoolkids records in chapel hill between dates and play an in-store or something of the sort with us. I mean, I'd probably spring for a round of burritos for you all. I just like y'alls music that much.

nick | 06/22/06 @ 03:48 PM

will the vinyl be available on tour?

gabriele | 06/23/06 @ 09:34 AM

hey there
we are waiting for you here.
i remember the night in faenza
one of the best show in my life!
do you remember that night?!
so... come on!!

see u soon

andy | 06/23/06 @ 12:40 PM

thanks for all the comments, everybody. just wanted to respond
to a few and say that, yes, sometimes shy is an apt description
of how i feel after a gig, just depends; and yes, hopefully there
will be vinyl of the new record to sell on tour...vinyl of the first album is now in stores and available online; and finally, yes, we will be coming back to Italy in September, so...as soon as all the dates are ready we'll post them here on our site.

shaboom | 06/23/06 @ 10:26 PM

Andy, you seem truly kind. You make beautiful music, don't ever stop.

sabrina | 06/27/06 @ 10:19 AM

Thanks a lot!

I saw you in Europa, in France, in Strasbourg. I was just behind you. I believed that i was looking a Crossby, Stills, Nash and Young's show or The Pink Floyd!

Thanks for all this creation and imagination!

Sabrina

And Thanks Devendra!!!

Lirys | 06/27/06 @ 12:46 PM

Come see us down in Atlanta, Andy! I was hopin' to see it on your tour list, but maybe next time? I know the rest of the cullinan crew will be seeing you in Raleigh. hope all is well.

james | 07/25/06 @ 07:16 PM

So, how about all the photos of you guys?

they are so epic looking. and almost like old pentagle album covers. or any music from that time/location. they make me happy.

kris | 12/06/06 @ 01:20 AM

Do you know of a band called The sonic hearts the key board player looked like he should'vebeen out of vetiver or espers or something i think he was from Philadelphia, we played with them at bristol carling acadedmy. but my band is more rock and its rubbish. thanks by the way theres no cool people where i live no-one even knows what folk or alternative is, its so boring...... peace in the middle east x
