WHERE DOES THE TIME GO?

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER
Archived June 25, 2006

Last week, the very kind and affable Derk Richardson invited us over to KPFA to perform on
his show, The Hear and Now. I was able to cajole Gary Held and the Papercut's Jason Quever to
join in that evening, alongside Alissa and myself, and we delivered a fairly sober and subdued
performance and had a pretty good time. Thanks to Derk and the studio staff at KPFA for taking care of us. They wouldn't let us drink any beverages in the studio, including the two six packs of cold beer we brought with us, so we took them to the park down the street from KPFA after the show and drank in the company of a curiously polite racoon. You can stream Derk's show by clicking on the link below.

Loved the KPFA session...so laid back! Interesting to hear stuff off the first album (which I haven't heard...must remedy that situation immediately!!)...and enjoyed the in-between-songs chat too!

Cheers!

Hi Andy,

I've seen in the new Mojo magazine that Vetiver are supporting Devendra on his UK dates in September, including the gig in Manchester on 8 September. Any chance of you being able to confirm this? I really hope it's going to happen!!

Cheers!

Alec | 07/06/06 @ 04:41 PM

I was comparing Devendra's tour schedule to Vetiver's and they seem to sync up in a way that would allow Devendra to be on stage, is this so?

Andy | 07/11/06 @ 07:47 AM

Thanks for the comments everyone! I just wanted to chime in that
yes, we will be playing dates in the UK and Europe in September and that we should have these up on the site soon. For now you can find them at http://www.leafygreen.com/tourDates.html

I doubt that Devendra will be onstage with Vetiver as he's just not
too keen on playing two shows a night, and we have a pretty together group we're touring with now, so...hope to see you there!

Adrian | 07/11/06 @ 10:17 AM

Thanks for that, Andy...already got the Manchester tickets sorted out..

Looking forward to it..

Cheers!
